Doctor Wii?

According to The Sun (a UK tabloid 'news'paper), Nintendo have struck a deal with BBC Worldwide to license a Doctor Who game for their DS and Wii consoles. It's due to be out in time for Christmas and will also feature the Daleks, the Cybermen and the Silurians.

Could a Who game really work?

I'd LOVE to see it, but how could it happen? I suppose the best way ould be like a detective game. You should be able to play as any Doctor too! :D

Meh. Can't see it being any good. I always saw it working as a downloadable game for all consoles perhaps released in episodic form with a cliffhanger at the end but then I think I had the classic show in mind. A Wii game would probably just involve a lot of wiimote=sonic screwdriver and have crap simple graphics just going by pretty much every other Wii game out there. Oh well.

I agree that it will end up being terrible, because you know it will be aimed at very young audiences.
But you never know, point and click mysteries such as Professor Layton and Another Code have flourished on the systems... and well i would probably buy it anyway lol cos i need my Who fix as often as possible!

I'd basically convinced myself that it'd be another Top Trumps game when they first announced that there would be more game from BBC properties.

For some weird reason, I was expecting them to retain the Tenth Doctor likeness and assets like the Easter eggs have, no idea why I thought that.
