The television BAFTAs took place in London last night and, despite being criminally ignored,
Doctor Who had a heavy presence at the ceremony. Opening the broadcast on
BBC One was a montage featuring various actors and celebrities (not to mention non~entities) coming out of the TARDIS. Click on the pics for bigger versions and see the opening sequence in the player below.
Ironically, Graham Norton kicked off proceedings by exiting the TARDIS first; other notable
Who names to look out in the clip for are Sophie Okenedo (
The Beast Below), Barabara Windsor (
Army of Ghosts), Russell Tovey (
Voyage of the Damned), Lenora Crichlow (
Gridlock), Shiela Hancock (
The Happiness Patrol) and finally Peter Davison. Noted film director Tim Burton also takes part in the 'fun'. Former companion Freema Agyeman presented at the awards ceremony.
