Doctor Who in "David Walliams' Awfully Good"




Some clips of "classic" Doctor Who cropped up in David Walliams' Awfully Good during a segment called "Top Five Most Shambolic Moments In Doctor Who Visual Effects History". The show celebrated the best of the worst in television history, broadcast on Channel Four in the UK. See the clips in the player above.

Ahhh...Ingrid Pitt and the Myrka. One of those moments in Dcotor Who history that is often referred to, and is generally accepted, as being at the extreme end of the awfulness spectrum.

It remains however surely and undeniably a moment of high entertainment. Admittedly laughing out loud in the middle of a drama aiming for gritty, futuristic, cold war dread is perhaps not what was intended.

And yet...

Personally, I think the lighting in "Warriors of the Deep" is the worst about the story!
