    WTF? It was only 6 years ago.
    And the character is called the Doctor, not Doctor Who. Surely you know this?

    Well, strictly speaking, the credits started calling him the Doctor rather than Doctor Who only in Tennant's era, so Eccleston played "Doctor Who"
