Digital UK channel Watch are to repeat Doctor Who Series 1, starring Christopher Eccleston and Billie Piper, from Monday August 1st. The re~runs kick off with the opening story Rose and continue every week day at 7.15am and 4pm.

During the weekend (Aug 6/7), Watch will be screening Series 4 episodes, with David Tennant and Catherine Tate, along with the Peter Cushing movie, Dr. Who & The Daleks.

And, don't forget, BBC Three are repeating Series 6 from Friday - details HERE.

Series 6 - BBC Three repeats

UK digital channel BBC Three are to repeat Doctor Who Series 6, Part 1 from Friday August 5. Kicking off with a double~bill of The Impossible Astronaut and Day of the Moon at 7pm, the re~run will finish in time for the launch of Series 6 , Part 2 on August 27.

Doctor Who references on "Futurama"

US animated sci~fi show Futurama included some references to Doctor Who in its most recent episode All The Presidents' Heads - see a clip of the TARDIS in the player above and some pics of Amelia Pond and Owen Harper (from Torchwood) below (click on them for bigger versions). It is due to air in the UK later this year. Read Blogtor's review of the episode HERE.

Blogtor Who reader (and good buddy too!) Richard Starkings interviewed John Barrowman (Captain Jack Harkness) for MTV Geek at the recent Comic Con 2011 - see their chat in the player above. Starkings is the man behind the successful Elephantmen series and also worked on the comic strips in Doctor Who Magazine back in the Eighties (amongst other things!)
