Producer Marcus Wilson stated there will be two monsters from the "classic" series making an appearance. The Ice Warriors look likely to return - Matt Smith chats about them HERE.

Steven Moffat stated in DWM 442 there won't be any two~parters though he did state in DWM 447 that he wouldn't rule it out if the story demanded more time.  Alex Kingston is reprising her role as River Song and Murray Gold remains the composer. Murray told fans at Comic Con France 2012 that a new version of theme tune could be on its way (most likely the second half of the series in 2013).

Asylum of the Daleks
Written by Steven Moffat.
Directed by Nick Hurran (The Girl Who Waited, The God Complex).

Kidnapped by his oldest foe, the Doctor is forced on an impossible mission - to a place even the Daleks are too terrified to enter... the Asylum. A planetary prison confining the most terrifying and insane of their kind, the Doctor and the Ponds must find an escape route. But with Amy and Rory’s relationship in meltdown, and an army of mad Daleks closing in, it is up to the Doctor to save their lives, as well as the Pond’s marriage.

The Power of Three
There is so much to see, Amy - and I don't want to miss it. Any of it. Because it goes so fast. I'm not running away from things. I'm running to them. Before they flare and fade forever...

Written by Chris Chibnall, directed by Douglas Mackinnon (The Sontaran Stratagem/The Poison Sky). This is the last episode to be filmed with Darvill and Gillan (filming started April 30). Mark Williams returns as Rory's Dad. Also stars Steven Berkoff (The Girl With The Dragon Tatoo, Under The Cherry Moon) and Jemma Redgrave (Howard's End).

UNIT make a return in this adventure. According to Moffat, it's "unusual" and includes "one of the best and most touching scenes we've ever shot." The story focuses on the emotional lives of Amy and Rory whilst also featuring a very "unusual invasion of Earth." In a Tweet, director Mackinnon described it as the "beginning of the end".
