Karen Gillan talks Capaldi

Actress Karen Gillan, who older readers may remember played Amy Pond alongside The Eleventh Doctor, was a guest on the ITV "show" Daybreak to promote her new film, Not Another Happy Ending. During the interview she talked about conventions, action figures, Peter Capaldi, The Fires of Pompeii and a female Doctor Who - watch it in the player below.

Needs to be sold around the world.. He's an asexual male type.. Always will be... I am sure the majority of fans happy with that.. This is not a gender, sexual, race thing...
Is James Bond a woman???? Is Jack Ryan? Is Sherlock Holmes?
Frak off with PC politics.. Just enjoy the show for what it is...

WTF? What the hell happened to her? Does she have cancer? I sure hope not. But other than having cancer, I see no reason for her to butcher her hair like that. Maybe it's for a role, who knows. But still, it looks awful. Good god. Reminds me of Brittney Spears when she went crazy.

Also, why has nobody brought up the fact she is bald? Not in the video or whoever updated the blogtorwho site. I mean how can you not mention that? I really hope it's not cancer!

I think some people are forgetting that the Doctor is one person, not multiple people called "Doctor" for no reason. I wouldn't mind a female Doctor as long as she carried the same energy as those who came before. But I don't want Helen Mirren, she made it out as if the whole show was some sexist conspiracy trapped in the dark ages. I also don't want them to cast a woman for the sake of it. I want them to cast the best man (it's just an expression) for the job.

To "The Master":

Karen Gillan shaved her head some months ago for the film "Guardians of the Galaxy".

This is not news and she unveiled her new look at San Diego Comic Con earlier this year.

@ The Master: There's been a number of news reports that she shaved her head months ago for the Marvel superhero movie Guardians of the Galaxy. The only thing of note is it's been several months now and her head is still shaved, suggesting it's a long shoot or she's required to keep it that way for a while for reshoots (which is a likely reason why Matt Smith still has his shaved head in September even though he filmed How to Make a Monster back in the early summer).

The bald look is weird at first (she's hasn't got cancer people!) especially with her being so tall! Her hair was beautiful. But once you get over the shock, she is still beautiful.

What's this "older readers" nonsense ... she was only in it just over a year ago!!

What's this "with not getting a running gag that's been going on for years" nonsense?

Trouser-tightening response there, Camsy.
