The
Doctor Who Appreciation Society (DWAS) has announced a great new event looking at the making of
Doctor Who featuring guests such as
Colin Baker and
Terrance Dicks.
Check out the details below and visit the website
HERE:
Over the last 51 years, The Doctor has travelled through time and
space on a never-ending voyage of discovery. Similarly, the making of
the show itself has undertaken its own journey. Today
Doctor Who is a
colour, HD, CGI, surround sound spectacle - a far cry from its humble
beginnings as a studio bound production made for monochrome 405 line
televisions.
But how has the production of the programme changed in over half
a century..., and exactly how have they gone about making such a show
over the years?
Myth Makers will feature guests involved in the The Making of
Doctor Who on both sides of the camera, and will take place at
Riverside Studios on Sunday 1st June. Riverside itself was one of the
homes of Doctor Who during the black and white era of the 1960s.
Guests announced so far are: Colin Baker (The Sixth Doctor), Mike
Tucker (Visual Effects Designer during both the Classic and New eras)
and Terrance Dicks (legendary Writer, Script Editor and Novelist). More names to be announced.
