Rufus Hound has been talking to the BBC about the read-through for the episodes
The Girl Who Died and The Woman Who Lived - watch an interview in the player above. In it he reveals that his character name is Sam Swift. Hound recently starred in an episode of the recent Russell T Davies series Cucumber and was a guest on Doctor Who Live: The Next Doctor, where Peter Capaldi was announced as The Twelfth Doctor.

Both episodes are directed by Ed Bazalgette (BBC One series, Poldark) and written by Jamie Mathieson (Mummy on the Orient Express, Flatline) with Steven Moffat and Catherine Tregenna (Torchwood, Out of Time) respectively.
