The latest issue of
Doctor Who Magazine (Issue 492, out Oct 15) features a preview of
Doctor Who Series 9, Episodes 7 & 8 -
The Zygon Invasion and
The Zygon Inversion.
This two-parter reunites Peter Capaldi and Rebecca Front, who starred together in the BBC comedy series, The Thick of It. Front is playing a member of UNIT by the name of Colonel Walsh. Writer Peter Harness told the magazine:
"It's interesting to see them working together in that way. It's a very different dynamic but it's great fun that they're back together again."
The interview with Harness also reveals that scenes from the story take place in New Mexico, Azerbaijan and London, whilst it is described as an "urban thriller" including a "few fan favourites."
Another The Thick of It star guested a number of times in Doctor Who Series 8 - Chris Addison as Missy's helper, Seb. The Zygon Invasion airs on Oct 31 on BBC One and BBC America.
