Graham Norton live show from Celebration

As announced previously, presenter Graham Norton will be hosting his radio show live from the Official Doctor Who Celebration on November 23. The BBC have released details of the show and guests:
As part of BBC Radio 2's 1963 season, today Graham Norton celebrates the 50th anniversary of the broadcast of the very first episode of the world's longest-running science fiction series – Doctor Who.

Graham is live from The Doctor Who Celebration in London with a TARDIS-full of special guests including Time Lords Matt Smith and Tom Baker and a former Doctor companion, Louise Jameson.

Plus Maria McErlane has a special mini-series of Time Lord fact-bubbles.
In addition, Graham's producer Malcolm Prince ‏has requested what your favourite Doctor Who memory is, with the best to be read out on the show; you can email your thoughts here: graham.norton@bbc.co.uk

You can listen to Graham Norton on Saturday, November 23 from 10am until 1pm on BBC Radio 2. It will be available on the BBC iPlayer soon after for seven days to listen to.

Cribbins & Norton chat 50th


On his BBC Radio 2 Saturday show, Graham Norton interview Who legend, Bernard Cribbins. During his time on the programme, Cribbins was asked about the Doctor Who 50th Anniversary, to which he and presenter Norton revealed their involvement in the celebrations - listen to it in the player above. It is possible that the presenter is taking part in the Radio 2 documentary about Doctor Who.

John Barrowman talks 50th (again)

Popular actor John Barrowman was a guest on Graham Norton's BBC Radio 2 show earlier today and the conversation turned to the Doctor Who 50th Anniversary Special - listen to what the Captain Jack actor says in the player below. In the clip you can hear Barrowman state that yesterday's comments were "taken out of context" whilst his sister Carole says the "BBC are mad at him". There is also some discussion about Torchwood where he says, "I've moved on".

Barrowman Torchwood novel title

In an interview with Graham Norton on BBC Radio 2 earlier today, actor John Barrowman (Captain Jack Harkness) revealed the title of the Torchwood novel that he and his sister Carole Barrowman are writing. It is called Exodus Code, and will be out September 2012. The pair also worked on the 2009 comic strip, Captain Jack and the Selkie.

Mark Gatiss talks Who

Writer/actor Mark Gatiss was a guest on Graham Norton's BBC Radio 2 show earlier today where he hinted that he might be writing a drama based on the inception of Doctor Who back in 1963. Gatiss also stated that there would be another edition in his History of Horror series and also comments on the Sherlock finale.

Dr Who at the BAFTAs



Earlier this evening, the BAFTAs took place and there was a strong Doctor Who related presence at the ceremony - see a compilation of clips in the player above featuring Matt Smith, Alex Kingston, Mark Gatiss, Steven Moffat and a tribute to Elisabeth Sladen. Team Mofftiss proved triumphant with two wins for Sherlock.
