Blogtor Who is a site dedicated to the worlds of
Doctor Who, Torchwood and
The Sarah Jane Adventures. It started in May 2008, providing news, reviews, interviews, images and videos to fans all over the world and is maintained solely by its creator
Cameron K McEwan (pictured below with current Doctor Who, Peter Capaldi).
About "Me"
In 2014, my first book was published -
The Who's Who of Doctor Who. You can find it across the world in all major booksellers (
Waterstone's and
Barnes & Noble, for example) and specialists outlets. You can also find it online on
Amazon, Forbidden Planet and places like that. My second
Doctor Who book will coming out later in 2014.
A
Doctor Who documentary I directed,
Who's Changing - An Adventure in Time with Fans, was also released in 2014 and played at various film festivals across the world and is available on
Amazon and from the
Who's Changing website HERE.
I also contribute (non~
Doctor Who related) articles, news, reviews and interviews for
The Huffington Post,
Cult Box,
Den of Geek and
Last Broadcast whilst you can sometimes find me on
BBC London 94.9, BBC World News (see below), Good Day Sacramento (also below) can, STV's film show,
Moviejuice,
BBC Radio Scotland and BBC Radio Essex.
Academically, I have an
MA (Hons) in Film & Visual Culture and an
MLitt in Visual Culture. Currently, I'm undertaking a practical~based
PhD in Visual Culture whilst also
assisting in the teaching of various film courses at the University of Aberdeen.
A
number of the courses I completed during my undergrad and postgrad
career involved practical film~making. I worked closely with director
Raúl Ruiz (
Klimt, Time Regained) and interviewed
Alex Cox (
Repo Man, Sid & Nancy) for a documentary and
David Mackenzie (
Young Adam, Hallam Foe) for my undergraduate dissertation.
You can see some of the films I made on the University of Aberdeen's film site
HERE (titled
In The Blink Of An Eye and
ABZ) whilst some of my other work can be found here: short film
Don't Kill My Fake Baby and
a documentary about Raul Rúiz.
Finally, I would like to thank the
BBC, all the lovely people at
BBC Worldwide, BBC Previews, BBC Pictures and
Silva Screen for all their assistance with
Blogtor Who - it is very much appreciated.
