Doctor Who Series 9: Mark Gatiss talks Episode 9

Mark Gatiss (C) BBC

Writer and actor Mark Gatiss has been talking to ABCRadioNational about Wolf Hall, Sherlock and, of course, Doctor Who. Read the full interview HERE. Regarding his story for Doctor Who Series 9, a found footage episode, Gatiss said:
"Well I've had this story in my mind for a long time. It's set in the future. It's all from different points of view, which has not been done before on Doctor Who.

It's been quite a challenge to make because you have to break a lot of the usual rules in terms of what you can actually show. Anything you can do to shake the format up is very exciting and that's what we've done."
Mark's episode is the ninth in the new series of Doctor Who which starts on Sept 19. He moved on to discuss the BBC and the prospect of it being removed:
"It would diminish the world. It's as simple as that. It's a fantastic industry and it seems remarkable that we have to worry about defending the BBC from trying to make money. It's a world-recognised brand of incredible quality and if we let it go, we will regret it forever."
